Geocache Description:

Snoogandipity: 1. Actually sighting Snoogans while engaged in geocaching activities, or otherwise out in public.

2. A traveling geocaching event that seems to happen whenever Snoogans is far from home and able to plan in advance. Previous editions: Washington DC, Florida, & Wisconsin. Future editions: Michigan, Massachusetts, New York, United Kingdom, & Saudi Arabia/Bahrain.

3. A prime opportunity to trade sig items and launder trackables to assure them a lot of miles.

I'm posting this as a flash mob style event, but one that will probably linger quite a bit longer than 15 minutes. Seriously, have you ever been to a geocaching flash mob event that really only lasted 15 minutes? I haven't.

The last one of these events I held flash mob style lasted over two hours, so if you're running late don't sweat it and don't run any red lights.

It's a regular work day for a whole lot of Cachers that might like to get a smiley on the way to work so I thought the flash mob format might draw more folks out.

I generally like to sample the local caching community and trade signature items and trackables when I spend more than a day or two in someplace new, so come on out to the vicinity of one of the  most favorited virtual caches that the Snoog has ever seen on GC.com.

It is also an iconic Chicago tourist destination. Show up around 8:00am to 8:15am-ish, sign my event log book, and grab one of my signature smashed coins along with an event smiley for your effort.

We will gather at the tables and then have a group picture in front of "The Bean" after 8:15.
So, if you have nothing better to do early on this particular Friday morning... I'd like to meet you.
If you like, you can click the related web page link to see the pictures and logs from the last Snoogandipity event at Safe House, in Milwaukee. This link will be updated after the first Snoogandipity in ChIraq event on 9/29.(GC4MKCV)

I haven't a clue about parking but I will be on the ground for a week before this event to find out and post that detail if nobody volunteers the information.

I'm guessing the event could linger on awhile if a decent crowd shows up. That is usually what happens in my experience no matter how many attend. Geocachers like to gab in the company of folks that don't get that "Hey, you been eating donuts, 'cuz your eyes sure look glazed" expression when the subject of discussion is geocaching.
