For our camping trip this year, we are headed back to Dolliver Park! If you have been caching in the Fort Dodge and specifically in the Moorland area, you will recognize our names... my mom and dad are coupleofbucks, one brother-in-law is iowa2asia, my son is GuitarMan24 and I am Darick. With us will be my other two sons and my other brother-in-law, No1JohnWayneFan.
My parents have both lived in Webster County most their lives, but recently they moved from Moorland to the Des Moines area. It is bitter sweet because I will miss coming back to this area where I grew up and where we have had a lot of fun geocaching together over the past several years.
But, we are back for a flash! Join us for a flash mob event starting at 10:10am. Here is the schedule:
9:45-ish : arrive at the park, find parking, walk over to and find something inconspicuous to do in the general area of (but not at) ground zero.
10:10 : I will blow a whistle and set down our big cooking pot at ground zero. Everyone should rush to the spot.
10:11 : Meet and greet, all in attendance will introduce themselves to the group.
10:16 : Event hosts will pass out slips of paper. BYOP and write your caching name on the paper.
10:18 : Return slips of paper to the cooking pot.
10:20 : Draw for FTF! If your name is drawn from the pot, you claim FTF on this event cache.
10:21 : Draw for a geocoin! If your name is drawn, you win a new unactivated geocoin.
10:22 : Arrange ourselves for a group picture.
10:23 : Group picture!
10:25 : Our group will proceed to cache our way around the park. Any or all are welcome to join the fun. If you have not been to Dolliver before, it is a lovely park with lots to explore... enjoy!
