Geocache Description:

The cache is replaced approx. 10 km further from the original cache point (17-18 km from Karşıyaka).
New coordinates are: N 38° 32.686' E 27° 09.181'

Inıtial cache - Yamanlar Picnic Area is 7-8 km from Karşıyaka (Izmir). It's a nice place with a scenic view of mountains, forests and general sight of Karşıyaka from above.

You can have drink or food in the cafeteria located there and also camping is available.

Yamanlar Picnic Area was temporarily closed when the winter started. I tried to find out when it was going to be opened again but unfortunately neither Karşıyaka municipality, nor Yamanlar village mukhtar had no idea about it. It seems that the owner of that area decides to close the facility during winter. As there is no phone number of the owner I couldn't get an accurate answer.
*** Edit: Ok it opened again in May. But there is no more cache there.

So I moved the cache to a place that can be accesible 24/7 & all year long. It is approx. 10 km far from the original cache point (17-18 km from Karşıyaka).
New coordinates are:
N 38° 32.686' E 27° 09.181'

The cache is a box which's placed under some stones and a rock. The rock is located close to the junction point of "Yamanlar Gençlik Merkezi" & "Karagöl". You can check the image of the rock in Additional Hints.
There is also a small and simple eagle ornament inside the box which can be attached to garment.

* If you continue from the left side of the junction point you can visit "Yamanlar Gençlik Merkezi" which's approx. 2 km away from the junction point. It's a local government's facility that you can find a swimming pool, tennis courts, football field, basketball and volleyball courts and a mini golf area. There are also bungalows that you can hire.

* If you continue from the right side of the junction point you can visit a lake called "Karagöl" which's approx. 10 km away from the junction point. Beware, this year (2014) I visited there and realized that they started asking for entrance fee!
