Geocache Description:

This is a multi-stage cache spanning the Atlantic Ocean from Texas to Denmark and back. GCQ18A is still active at the time this cache was created and it gave me the idea of doing one with the help of a friend in Denmark. Levesund was attending school at TCU and visited SWAG in Arlington when he could. I asked him if he was interested in helping create this cache.

The stages:

  • Stage 1 – Arlington, TX – Magnetic container. No bushwhacking. It's almost wheel chair friendly. Inside you will find coordinates for stage 2 of this multi.
  • Stage 2 – Voldby, Denmark – large micro with camo tape located in an area that does require a little bushwhacking. Inside the container is a log and coordinates for stage 3. The second stage in this multi cache takes you on a trip outside Aarhus to a beautiful natural area. The landscape was formed during the last ice age (15,000 years ago). The place is near to one of two stones set by the former King of Denmark. King Christian 6th used this area for hunting and therefore it was, by law, a protected area. Anyone without permission to hunt was seen as an intruder and a poacher. The stone itself is in a very poor condition and unreadable. The stone was set in the 17th century by the king.
  • Stage 3 – Arlington, TX – Pill bottle - a little bushwhacking here. I didn't see PI, but there's BL and briers.

The rules: (geocaching.com says that these rules must be optional. If not followed though, then there is no teamwork.)

  • Find a buddy in Denmark to get stage 2. You must locate someone who has not previously done stage 2.
  • The Danish geocacher will find the second stage, sign the log, get the coordinates to stage 3 and send them the Texas geocacher.
  • Once the Texas geocacher logs the find, signing the names, the Danish cacher may log a note stating the teamwork find and the cooperative efforts.
  • ham2405 amd levesund cannot be used as buddies because we know the coords.

Good Luck!
