kzooOtters: Time to archive this fine cache. The plaque is fading and difficult to read and the cache has been muggled yet again. Perhaps I will find a way to get this historical monument repaired and then place another cache here for all to fine.

Here is an almost forgotten piece of Michigan History. You can see how it is literally fading away. When I noticed the memorial, I thought long and hard about how I was going to work a cache into honoring it. I remembered a very fun and challenging cache (D&V’s QR IV.) I knew this would work perfect and be a fun way to have fellow cachers work it out. I hope you have fun learning a little bit about Michigan history as you solve this cache!
Read the plaque honoring the 25th of Michigan at the posted cords. Not including "25th Michigan," apply the following formula to the plaque to find the coordinates to the final stage. FTF gets our path tag.
