I imagine a 4-wheeler or a 4-wheel drive will get you here closer and quicker, but chimpsm8, Bob, and I hoofed it in from Hays Crossing campground. You're looking for an orange matchsafe.
Sardis Lake was opened in 1940. As I'm not sure of the date of the iron bridge, I'd guess early '20s. You can use your head to find and retrieve this cache or your hands and feet. Other times it may require a boat. My first visit here was by bassboat. I wouldn't recommend the hands and feet method without a spotter (someone to call 911). There is a lot of 4-wheeler activity in this area so please replace the cache as found......also, remember, the next searcher will know who rehid it so be (semi) kind to them.
