This is the forward scout recon base for the Monster Army who have one goal and one goal only: STEAL ALL THE CANDY!!!
The location of this ultra stealth unit in unknown to their nemesis, the CRIMSON FROG, who is the only force of justice that stands between these monsters and their mission.
No one knows why they want all our candy or what they plan to do with it...but legend tells of an old witch who once almost built a tyrannical empire on the world's candy. This despicable witch was defeated by a young prince wearing a regal violet cape, but the witch vowed that she would track down the prince someday to seek her revenge, and that there was no place that the prince could hide. In her escape, the witch turned into cherry pixie dust and scattered herself across a dark swamp to the South. From this swamp a wretched Monster Army slowly began to arise, and they have been amassing and attempting to STEAL ALL THE CANDY! The young prince has since disappeared, but around that time many frogs have been appearing in the lands. One such frog, the Crimson Frog, has been able to thwart the efforts of this Monster Army, but who knows how long that he can hold out for?!?!
The Crimson Frog often patrols the Northern borders of the nearby creek, so the monsters made their base safe on the other side. The terrain rating for this unit takes into assumption that cachers approach from the North and cross the creek when water levels are high enough for them to have to wade across...but there is more than one route to this cache as the many dry muggles who can be seen hiking past this area in an oblivious stupor will tell you.
In 2021, the Monster Army moved their base slightly! The rain brought torrents that wrecked their old base and melted all the candy! They decided to put their new base at a higher elevation, out of the way of most of the gushing water. They also used natural materials to build the new base so now it is 26% more stealthy.
Many other such monster stealth and attack units surround the area...but this is the first one that we know about for sure. Who knows how many horrors surround us...ready to engage us and catch us unawares at any given moment? For the time being, at least, we can rest easy knowing the the Crimson Frog has our backs.
This secret unit is also home base to Gremlin tactical stealth specialists, known the world over as My Main Dude Of Coolness and A Really Cool Dude. Friends of the Monster Army's cause may help them on their special reconnaissance assignments.
