Geocache Description:

Need an excuse for a strictly social geocaching event?

A Geocaching Travel Bug® is hitching a ride with astronaut Rick Mastracchio straight to the International Space Station. The mission is currently scheduled to launch from Kazakhstan at 10:08 PM Central Time

Rick will live aboard the ISS for 6 months. He plans to use the Travel Bug as a tool to teach students on Earth, in his home state of Connecticut, about geography and science. He’ll also earn the Solar System’s most elusive smiley and find the International Space Station geocache. See the ISS cache page here.

Geocaching HQ will issue a Geocaching in Space souvenir to those who attend Event Caches during the launch. You can watch the launch live online (using the Related Web Page link above) or check out the recording later to celebrate the geocaching community’s spirit of exploration.

This event will be your opportunity to earn the highly coveted Geocaching in Space souvenir, although we won't be staying up quite that late.

WHERE: Buffalo Wild Wings, 2950 South 108th Street

WHEN: Wednesday November 6 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM

Please RSVP so we have a head count. Each family / group will be responsible for their own bill.
