Tree Ring Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Christopher Pike: Unfortunately, this cache page has been archived due to the lack of a timely maintenance resolution, or no response to my previous note. If the owner would like to have it reinstated, please contact me through my profile or email address referencing the GC code and name of the cache within the next 30 days. Please note that un-archiving a cache page places it through the same review process as a newly proposed cache, using the cache placement guidelines and land manager policies currently in effect.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and look forward to seeing more of your caches up and running in the future.

Geocache Description:

This is a very special cache for Minniemouse87 and Mushu52 and we are ecstatic to share.

Please use no force to open cache, find the "key" and "lock" and with a soft push it should open. Cache is hidden inside a container just a short walk off a Greenway trail.

In the Spring of 2012, I (Mushu52) fancied this girl who was hooked on Geocaching. Needless to say, I became very interested in it. What started out as a quick date after work soon turned into day-long Saturday geocache outings. What was a 4 hour trip to Bismarck now turned into 7 or 8 hours due to all of the caches along the way. She got me so addicted that I went looking for caches when I was travelling abroad for work.

I knew I wanted to marry her and I knew I had to do something special. Since Geocaching has always been a part of our relationship, it was pretty easy to figure out what to do. I contacted our favorite cache maker, trycacheus, to help build an elaborate cache. Minniemouse87 loves his caches and would jump at the chance for an FTF.

The stars lined up on November 3, 2013. Minniemouse had made a quick trip to Fargo the day before, which allowed me to place the cache and show my muggle parents where it was and how to open it. On the big day, we headed out caching and I pointed out this "new, unfound trycacheus cache" that had just been published (how convenient). She found a diamond ring as the FTF prize. I, however, found the best second-to-find prize ever: the love of my life.

Read her log for the rest of the story. Huge thanks to Trycacheus, Christopher Pike & weissfamily_m&ms for helping me with the best day of my life (thus far). --Mushu52

The cache remains the same as it was that day; however, instead of finding a diamond, you will find a logbook and pencil.
