There is an additional church micro available on the circuit at Ryarsh, which can be reached by making a short diversion after TT11. Refreshments are available either in Ryarsh or, at the end of the walk, in the village of Trottiscliffe. Some of the paths between TT03 and TT09 can be very muddy during periods of wet weather so suitable clothing and footwear are needed.

This is the first of my five series of walks on the North Downs that all interlink at some point – from west to east they are the Hognore Hike, Downland Diversion, Trottiscliffe Trail, Birling Loop and Snodland Circuit.

Caches TT20 – TT24 have been placed in an area that has been designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) with the kind permission of Natural England. These five caches have all been set adjacent to the Pilgrim’s Way footpath, so please help Natural England to preserve the beauty of the natural surroundings by respecting their request that you stay on this Public Right of Way being careful at all times to avoid any damage to the environment or disturbance to wildlife.
