Dieser Multi führt dich (vielleicht sogar gemeinsam mit deinem Liebsten/deiner Liebsten) auf den romantischen Spuren eines der schönsten Liebesfilme "Before Sunrise" (1995) durch Wien.
Wandelt auf den Spuren von Jesse und Celine und genießt diesen Multi im Zeichen der Romantik.
An einem passenden Final erwartet Euch eine passende Dose (Größe Small) mit Platz für flache TBs.
Im Zug von Budapest nach Wien lernen sich der Amerikaner Jesse (Ethan Hawke) und die Französin Celine (Julie Delpy), beide Anfang 20, kennen und verstehen sich auf Anhieb. Sie beschließen spontan in Wien auszusteigen und dort eine Nacht zu bleiben, bis Jesses Flug zurück in die USA geht. Die beiden schlendern die ganze Nacht durch Wien, reden über Gott und die Welt und verlieben sich ineinander. Sie beschließen jedoch beim Abschied, keine Nummern und Adressen auszutauschen, sondern sich in genau sechs Monaten in Wien wieder zu treffen. Damit endet der Film - werden sie sich in sechs Monaten wieder sehen oder nicht?
Wer das herausfinden will, dem seien auch die beiden Sequels "Before Sunset" und "Before Midnight" ans Herz gelegt, die jeweils 9 Jahre später spielen.

Jesse und Celine haben eine ganze Nacht damit verbracht, gemeinsam durch Wien zu schlendern, also solltet auch ihr etwas mehr Zeit für diesen Multi vorsehen. Damit ihr besser planen könnt, haben wir die Koordinaten der einzelnen Stages bereits angegeben. Die Wegführung ist nicht chronologisch ident mit dem Film.
Filmkenner wissen, dass eine Location auch sehr weit außerhalb liegt, was die Länge dieses Multis doch sprengen würde. Zu dieser (Stage 9) ist daher eine filmbezogene Frage zu beantworten - ein Besuch des Ortes ist dennoch sehr empfehlenswert.
Um Euch auf den Multi einzustimmen, und in die Geschichte von Jesse und Celine einzutauchen, empfehlen wir Euch, den Film anzusehen bzw. zumindest die in diesem Listing eingefügten Youtube-Videos anzuschauen.
Stage 1: Westbahnhof Wien (N 48 11.824 E 016 20.176)
Jesse: Alright, I have an admittedly insane idea, but if I don't ask you this it's just, uh, you know, it's gonna haunt me the rest of my life.
Celine: What?
Jesse: Um... I want to keep talking to you, y'know. I have no idea what your situation is, but, uh, but I feel like we have some kind of, uh, connection. Right?
Celine: Yeah, me too.
Jesse: Yeah, right, well, great. So listen, so here's the deal. This is what we should do. You should get off the train with me here in Vienna, and come check out the town.
Am alten Wiener Westbahnhof steigen Jesse und Celine - spontan wie es wohl nur Anfang 20jährige sein können - aus dem Zug und beginnen ihre Entdeckungsreise durch Wien.
Begib dich zum Kiss and Ride-Parkplatz (Ausgang Felberstraße, zwischen Parkhaus und Taxistandplatz). Jaja, die ÖBB sorgen für Romantik, im Gegensatz zu den Wiener Linien. ;-)
Zähle alle Buchstaben auf der weißen Tafel unterhalb des Kiss and Ride-Schildes für A.
EDIT, 9.1.2016: Die ÖBB haben wohl doch keinen Sinn für Romantik und das Kiss and Ride-Schild abmontiert. Bis ich eine Ersatzfrage gefunden habe: A=50.
Stage 2: Der Plattenladen (N 48° 11.974 E16° 21.427)
Eine der schönsten Szenen des Films spielt in diesem Plattenladen in der Windmühlgasse. Sie braucht keinen Dialog und sagt dennoch soviel aus:

Stage 3: Cafe Sperl (N 48° 11.992 E16° 21.656)
Jesse und Celine erzählen in einem fiktiven Telefongespräch ihren besten Freunden, was sich in den vergangenen Stunden zugetragen hat.

Der Platz vor dem Cafe Sperl hat einen besonderen Namen. Suche den Gedenkstein und bilde die Quersumme der Jahreszahl für C.
Stage 4: Albertina (N48° 12.282 E16° 22.090)
In einer der letzten Szenen ist unser Liebespaar im Morgengrauen beim Reiterdenkmal vor der Albertina.
Das Motto für diese Stage könnte lauten: Make love, not war. Direkt über dem Haupteingang findest du ein kriegerisches Relief, wieviele Speerspitzen kannst du zählen?

Stage 5: Franziskanerplatz (N48° 12.388 E16° 22.450)
Eine Handleserin sagt Jesse und Celine die Zukunft voraus - und wir erleben etwas später den ersten "Streit" unseres Liebespärchens darüber.

Stage 6: Maria am Gestade (N48° 12.767 E16° 22.188)
Jesse: Hmm. Do you know anything about the Quakers, the Quaker religion?
Céline: No, not much, no.
Jesse: Well, I went to this Quaker wedding once, and it was fantastic. What they do is the couple comes in and they kneel down in front of the whole congregation, and they just stare at each other, and nobody says a word unless they feel that God moves them to speak, or say something. And then, after an hour or so of just uh, staring at each other, they're married.
Céline: That's beautiful. I like that.
Für Verliebte scheint ja auch bei sieben Tagen Regenwetter die Sonne - deshalb sieh dich hier um und finde das kleine Schild am Haus mit einer Sonne. Wieviele Zacken hat sie? Die Antwort ist F.
Stage 7: Zollamtssteg (N48° 12.588 E16° 23.061)
Hier treffen Jesse und Celine auf zwei Wiener, die sie zu ihrem Theaterstück "Bring me the horns of Wilmington's cow" einladen - mit einer Kuh, die sich wie ein Hund verhält. Was diese Szene für den Ruf Wiens als Kulturmetropole getan hat, lässt sich wohl nur erahnen... ;-)

Man 1: No, not professional actors, uh, part-time actors, for fun.
Man 2: It's a play about a cow, and an Indian searching for it. There are also in it politicians, Mexicans...

Man 1: No, not a real cow. Its an actor in a cow costume.

Man 1: She's acting a bit strange, like a dog. If someone throws a stick, she fetches it, and brings it back. And she can smoke, with her hooves, and everything.

Stage 9: Friedhof der Namenlosen
Diese Frage ist mittels Filmschauen zu lösen.
Celine hat diesen Friedhof schon als Teenager besucht. An das Grab eines 13jährigen Mädchens kann sie sich noch erinnern.
"She was only thirteen when she died. That meant something to me, you know, I was around that age when I first saw this. Hmm. Now, I'm ten years older, and she's still thirteen, I guess."
Welchen Vornamen hat das Mädchen?

This multi-cache will lead you (hopefully with your loved one) through Vienna along the traces of one of the nicest romantic movies ever, "Before Sunrise" (1995).
Follow Jesse's and Celine's steps and enjoy this romantic multi-cache.
At the final location, which fits the overall theme, you will find a container, that can hold small, flat TBs.
The American Jesse (Ethan Hawke) and the French girl Celine (Julie Delpy), both in their early twenties, meet on a train from Budapest to Vienna and feel an instant connection. They hop off the train spontaneously and decide to spend the night in Vienna, before Jesse's flight leaves the next morning. Strolling through the city the whole night they talk about anything and everything and fall deeply in love. They decide, however, not to exchange phone numbers or adresses and instead to meet again in Vienna in exactly six months.
This is where the film ends - will they see each other again in six months or not? To find out, we highly recommend watching the two sequels "Before Sunset" und "Before Midnight", each one taking place 9 years after the other.

Jesse and Celine spent a whole night meandering through Vienna together, so you should take some time for this multi-cache as well. In order to facilitate your cache planning, we provided the coordinates for every stage. Note that the stages are not in the same order as in the movie.
If you know the movie, you know that one stage is located on the outskirts of Vienna and visiting it would exceed the length of this multi-cache. Therefore you have to answer a question about the film for this stage (stage 9). Visiting this beautiful location is nevertheless highly recommended.
To get in the right mood and fall in love with Jesse's and Celine's story and really enjoy this cache, you should watch the movie or at least the youtube clips in this listing.
Stage 1: Vienna west railway station (N 48 11.824 E 016 20.176)

One of the most intense and beautiful scenes of the movie is set in this record store. There is no dialogue and yet it says so much...

In a fictional telephone conversation Jesse and Celine tell their best friends, what has happened in the past few hours.

The square in front of Cafe Sperl has a special name. Find the memorial stone and take the cross sum of the year on it for C.
Stage 4: Albertina (N48° 12.282 E16° 22.090)
In one of the last scenes of the movie our two lovebirds are at the big statue in front of the museum Albertina at the break of dawn.
The motto for this stage could be: Make love, not war. Directly above the main entrance you will see a martial relief. How many spearheads do you see?

Stage 5: Franziskanerplatz (N48° 12.388 E16° 22.450)
A palm reader predicts Celine's and Jesse's future - and later on we see the couple's first fight about this encounter.

Take a look around the square. You will see three doors with "flowers" on them. Count the flowers on all three doors to get the number for E.

This is where Jesse and Celine meet two Viennese guys, who invite them to their play "Bring me the horns of Wilmington's cow". The play is about a cow, that behaves strangely, like a dog. What this scene did to Vienna's reputation as a cultural hot spot - one can only guess... ;-)

Stage 9: Friedhof der Namenlosen/Cemetery of the nameless
This question can be answered by watching the movie.
Celine has already been to this cemetery as a teenager. She specifically remembers the grave of a 13 year old girl.
"She was only thirteen when she died. That meant something to me, you know, I was around that age when I first saw this. Hmm. Now, I'm ten years older, and she's still thirteen, I guess."
