The dam hike Event Cache

this is a long and hilly hike ending at the bluffs which overlook the dam.  it is a great way to stretch the legs and maybe find some local caches.  this group will contain some serious trekkers so getting lost is not a concern.  be sure to pack a bag as this hike may take 2 or more hours.  you should bring plenty of water in a container that wont freeze  or make it an electrolyte that will reduce the freezing point so you will be able to stay hydrated. 

bring snacks like trail mix or some other high carbohydrate mixture.  Be sure that you are able to make the hike out and back health and fitness wise as this can be a challenging section.  wear appropriate attire.  several layers will work best as they can be removed or applied as necessary during the hike and then when we get to the windy point by the dam.  bring a camera as you will see many things to shoot.  as always bring your caching bag because you never know what tools you may need. this hike will begin after meeting in the observatory parking lot at 10am. there were going to be 2 events here but the one dealing with the 2000th find celebration for cheetoman79 and cachecamin8ion was nixed. We will be attaining our 2000th cache simultaneously on this hike. my 2nd cache anniversary is on 11-16-13. cheetoman will be reaching his semianniversary
