Geocache Description:

A camo'ed GEOCACHE groundspeak container I just got today for Christmas! Although now listed as a micro, it is really a big micro. Please replace, camouflage and hide well as I suspect there is occasional foot traffic through here. Please make sure to screw the top back on to keep the inside dry.

This cache is dedicated to the loving memory of our first family dog, who we recently had to put down at the tender age of 17.  My wife and I got Argyle from a shelter on Super Bowl Sunday in 1997.  We were expecting our first child that summer.  Argyle welcomed the new child as well as those who followed over the next several years.  He was a great dog.  He loved to chase squirrels and deer and got sprayed in the face by a skunk.  He was full of life.  He loved the trail that begins just to the east of the cache; what our family has always affectionately called the "river trail."  We would often walk him here on a lazy weekend day in all four seasons from the scout cabin to the west to the tennis courts to the east.  As time went on, we noticed Argyle moved slower and slower down the trail.  Eventually, he could not walk it anymore.  Argyle got old.  He didn't really do any tricks.  He had average IQ.  But he was our "wonder dog" because he filled all of our days with a sense of wonder. If you want a nice short woodsy trail walk to stay out of muggles way, park in the parking lot by the baseball fields and walk towards the river. There you will find a trail there that will lead along the river and spit you out by the cache.
