The North White Plains train station was built in 1972, and is the little brother of the larger White Plains train station. It services about a quarter of the number of passengers as its big brother, which makes it more convenient for many locals. The historic "City of White Plains" sign seen in the picture above now sits on private property on this corner, even though the sign was originally across town on Bloomingdale Road near the long gone NYW&B RR station. The cache is close by, not on private property.
