Baldwin Farm was owned by the Foster family in the late 1800s, and only renamed "Baldwin" when the last male heir of the Fosters died. The City of White Plains acquired the property in the 1970s, and around 1990 turned it into community gardens, where now several White Plains families are growing their own broccoli :)
