Something's fishy here... Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Tippytoesk8er: I will not be successful in finding another hiding spot as good as the two where this cache has resided in the past. I am thrilled that it had so many visits during its 6+ years of existence.

Geocache Description:

Cache is placed in Long Lake Regional Park. Park Hours are from ½ hr before sunrise until ½ hr after sunset.

There was once a stockyard in this area, but now it is a popular place for all sorts of leisure activities, including all-season fishing. As with fishing, this cache can be reeled in during any season.

The cache is placed not far off the main paved trail which extends the entire length of Long Lake Regional Park. Make it a bike ride adventure by following the trail northwest out of the park, and take the connecting path to the Rice Creek trail which meanders west all the way to the Mississippi river.

More information about the stockyard and general history of the New Brighton area can be found at the History Center within the park, which is open seasonally, at N 45 04.759 W093 11.809

Cache contains only a logsheet and stubby pencil, as there's very little room for anything else.
