Its about time rocky butte had another debree cleanup. Its such a beautiful place marred by old tires / cars and plenty of trash.
In conjunction with SOLVE we will be doing an earth day cleanup at rocky butte. This area does have some cliffs and some uneven terrain. Children or pets are not recommended at this CITO.
Solve Trash bags will be provided for the event and the park service will be hauling away the trash. There will be other people from solve earth day at this event so it will be a great way to introduce geocaching as it gives back to the community.
Time Line: Event is from 10 to 2
10:00 AM Meet at the new posted coordinates
10:15 AM start working the area.
1:30 PM head back up to starting coordinates for post event festivities
2:00 PM Special Raffle for prizes for those who have been at the entire event.
What To Bring:
As always please be prepared for the conditions that mother nature will be providing us! Also the following items as well:
Leather Gloves (recommended)
Hiking Shoes (strongly encouraged)
Litter / grabber stick (less bending over)
Hand Sanitiser (recommended)
