Bring a Gnome, Swap a Gnome and take a Gnome home!
On the eleventh day of May 2014, between the hours of 10:00am and 11:00am Members of the Wirral Gnome Society will be holding a “Gnome Swap” at The Dell, Port Sunlight.
This will be an opportunity for members of the WGS to get together for general chitchat, in pleasant surroundings.
Don’t be put off if you are not already a member of our Society, because anyone attending will be granted free membership and be entitled to a gnome moniker. As a further incentive a very special profile badge, marking this inaugural event, will be issued.
For the comfort of attendees, there are several benches in the area, where you can sit and take the weight off your feet. Although, a quaint teashop is in the near vicinity, it may be a good suggestion to bring along a flask of your favourite beverage. Also feel free to indulge yourself with a picnic, if you so desire.
In the event of inclemency, shelter can be found beneath the bridge.
Please search your homes and gardens to find any gnomes whom you feel may be suitable for swapping. Remember there is always a place for a gnome in your home!
It is important that no gnome or gnomes are left unattended during this meeting, and if you bring a gnome, it is your responsibility to make sure that gnome is re-homed or you take it back with you. This also applies to any travelling bugs or geo-treasure.
