Geocache Description:

April Fool's Day-Maker Madness Style

I recieved the email about maker madness earlier this week and I discussed it with a few other cachers in the area and decided to host this event. What is maker madness you ask?

From www.geocaching.com

Whether you’re a Social Butterfly or a Nature Lover, a Stats Geek, Traveler, or Puzzler (take the quiz and find out your geocacher type), it’s time to say thank you to a geocache maker near you. From March 28 – April 7, geocachers around the world will join together to celebrate the people in their community who make geocaching possible. We call this celebration Maker Madness.

Every geocacher who logs an “Attended” at a registered Maker Madness event will earn a Maker Madness souvenir.

This maker madness event is being held at Cinco De Mayo Mexican Restaurant in Lyons, Indiana. We can share what makes great geocaches over food and drink. They have a full menu of authentic mexican cuisine. They also serve burgers and fries for those of you that would like to attend but don't like mexican food.

We will be gathering at 6pm (1800) in the right hand side of the restaurant as you enter the door. Its a seperate banquet style room. All persons are responsible for their own bill.

"Will Attend" logs are by no means mandatory for this event but they are encouraged so that the business will be ready to accomodate us.

This is an inside event and they have a children's menu. All cachers are welcome, bring your friends as well. Hopefully we can get them hooked on caching and some fantastic food. The owner knows what geocaching is, in fact we even took him to find one once and he enjoyed it quite a bit. If there is something that you normally like to eat but you don't see it on the menu just tell the server and they will try their best to have the cooks match your taste buds. There are even things that aren't on the menu that we order all the time. Deep fried Jalepenos being one of them. They also have a dish that is named after the owner, Jose "Alfredo" Moreno. It is called the Alfredo Special. It's a plate of cheese nachos with shrimp, chicken and jalepenos, it's topped with guacamole and sour cream with a slice of tomato. Coke products and several alcoholic beverages fill out the drink menu. Please be responsible and respectful of the event attendees. This restaurant is fully handicap accessible.
