Equinox 2014 Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Old Bet: Often, a cache has a natural lifetime. With only two visits in the last 13 months — and some changes at the cache locale to also consider — I am archiving this one for lack of interest.

Geocache Description:

We decided to mark the end of a way-too-long winter by hiding a cache to celebrate the Vernal Equinox. I walked along the Putnam Trailway -- still partly snow-covered -- until the clock ticked down to 12:57 p.m., the astronomical start of Spring, then stowed the cache in the nearest hiding place. It's a short stroll from closest legal parking, on the shoulder of Bucks Hollow Road. (There is a road crossing closer to the cache, but no safe or legal parking.) Cache is a mostly-camo'ed pill vial. It should be an easy find, except for the muggle factor, and that is not an insignificant factor. Not only does the Trailway get a lot of use, but the hiding spot is within view of several nearby homes. Hence, the difficulty rating of "3." Please be careful out there.

**Congratulations to Team BacMac and Larra-Three for the shared FTF.**
