"At the main entrance to the west building of the Bull Ring Shopping Center in Birmingham stands The Guardian, a 2.2-metre (7 ft 3 in) tall bronze sculpture of a running, turning bull. It has become a very popular photographic feature for visitors to Birmingham. The sculptor gave support to calls for the statue to be renamed "Brummie the Bull". However, it is more widely known as simply "The Bull." " - Wikipedia

At the main entrance to the west building of the Bull Ring Shopping Center in Birmingham stands The Guardian, a 2.2-metre (7 ft 3 in) tall bronze sculpture of a running, turning bull. In the shadow of the bull, there will be a Meet & Greet & (hopefully) Eat Geocaching event on the 17th May 2014 at 1500. Its central location places it in great stead for a sunny May afternoon, yet shelter is available a stones throw away in the likely case of the Birmingham rains. It'll nicely suit an extended event due to the abundance of restaurants and watering establishments nearby" - THE_Chris, renowned Dublin Geocacher.
So come and meet three tired and hungry Geocachers from Dublin just outside the Bull Ring Shopping Center, next to (or on top of) Mr Bull to say hello, swap and discover travel bugs & geocoins and chat about the hobby. We'll be at the location from 1500 to 1530. Hopefully there will be a bit more than just a simple meet and greet involved. Please note I got the co-ordinates from Google so they may not be exact. We are meeting at the Bull if the weather is nice. If it is raining, we'll meet under the glass roof that you can see in the picture. If the weather is horrific, we'll meet just inside the doors under the glass roof. In any case, we'll make ourselves known!
At approximately 1530, after the event-proper we will be hungry/thirsty and would be interested in joining the local cachers for grub somewhere nearby. We will probably have to leave Birmingham at 1700 for a 1900 flight, so there will be plenty of time for food.
This is Round 2 of the Abusing Cheap Flights series, where Dublin cachers make crazy use of cheap flights for insane short trips overseas. The previous incarnation, GC4XDD1 in Leeds got 18 caching names under its belt and the locals enjoyed it so much that they are hosting GC4Z5TK "Abusing Cheap Flights - The Return Leg" in Dublin at the end of April. We've thrown down the gauntlet, so come to the Bull Ring!
