Welcome to the 5th annual Meet Me At The Lake Event, home of the Trash Can Turkey!!
We want to try to make this event just a little more special than the last four so........
We will be preparing 3 turkeys! I could probably stop there and get plenty of cachers to attend but we want this to be bigger and better than the last 4 events so we hope to place approximately 25 new caches. There will also be plenty of door prizes.
We welcome cachers of all levels so whether you are a new cacher looking to meet people with similar interests or an experienced cacher looking to get reacquainted with old friends you will find it here.
The park offers beach area, sand volley ball, a shelter, playgrounds for the kids, hiking trails, 4 wheeler trails, boating, camping and of course geocaching!!!
The event is free of charge but the park does have an entrance fee of $3 per vehicle for a daily pass or $25 for an annual pass. Either pass will get you entrance to all Jackson County Parks. If you are camping in the park the entrance fee is included with the cost of the campsite. Camping rates vary - see related web page for camping information. Feel free to bring trackables to trade or for discovery! Whether you come just for the event or for the weekend there should be plenty to do to keep you busy.
Please bring your own plates, silverware and a dish to pass. We will provide turkey and punch to drink. When logging your attend please post what you will bring so we get a variety.
Event will run from 11:30am to 3pm. Lunch will be at 12:30.

NOTE: End time is listed for 3pm just so we could have a listed end time due to Geocaching.com rules but... we will be there as long as you want to stay!!! Other years after we left the shelter we moved down to our campsite, #74, and sat around the fire. Everyone is welcome to join us!!
