Geocache Description:

World Wide Flash Mob

Geocachers from all across the planet will gather on the same day at the same time for a world wide event. While we're having fun here in Cape Town, others will be doing the same in New York, Berlin, Dublin, Geelong or wherever else there are people that knows exactly what a GPS should really be used for.

This is meant to be a fun "opposite" of a mega-event. All the cool aspects of a geocaching event crammed into 15 minutes of excitement.

This year's flash mob is for the kids. Laughter and fun will be guaranteed. Mom and Dad, you are allowed to enjoy it too. Bring your happy faces and your best smiles and join in the fun. And those dudes that take themselves so seriously, yes, you know who you are… Deep inside of you there is still a kid that wants to come out and play. Let him out for 15 minutes. Forget that you're all grown up, and just enjoy the event with all the other kids, young and old.

You remember those bottles with the soapy solution and the plastic handle with which you blew bubbles many years ago. Go and get one for each member of your group. And while you're at it grab some balloons as well. Also bring along a small card about the size of a business card with your caching name written on it together with the size of your group. ( Example - Huskies (2) or Henzz (1) ).

Gather around before the time, but as far as possible try and ignore your caching buddies. Act like muggles. Look at this, take a picture of that, just like any tourist would do. At exactly 7pm you can drop the act. That is when the fun will start. You will know what to do. We will all be kids for the next 12 minutes or so. Then we will all gather for a group photo with our 4 friends on the square. And at precisely 19h15 we will all walk away as if nothing has happened at all. Just quietly disappear into the night.

For statistical purposes, please remember to drop your "caching card" into the pot at Nelson's feet.

The night will still be young, and there is so much to see or do at the Waterfront, so enjoy your self. Take the kids to see a movie. Go for a ride on the big wheel. Have drinks and pizzas with caching buddies or take a romantic stroll down to the Clock Tower.
