Geocache Description:

All around the world, Geocachers have coordinated a 15-minute meeting that will happen at the same time on this day to bring Geocachers together and introduce others to the world of Geocaching. The event will last EXACTLY 15 minutes, not one second longer.

A flash mob is a term used to denote a group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place, perform an unusual and sometimes seemingly pointless act for a brief time, then disperse, often for the purposes of entertainment and/or satire.  The first World Wide Flash Mob (WWFM) event was the Worldwide Pillow Fight Day (or International Pillow Fight Day) that took place on March 22, 2008. Over 25 cities around the globe participated in the first "international flash mob," which was the world's largest flash mob to date. This Event is part of the 11th Annual World Wide Flash Mob Event.  Hundreds of events all around the world will be coordinated to happen at the same time.  At 10am PDT, people all over the world will assemble in pre-arranged groups, do something meaningless, and disperse into the distance!  Last year, there were 558 WWFM X events in 42 countries attended by 25,125 people.

In Southern Oregon, please join us at Twin Creeks Park in Central Point at 10am PDT on Saturday, June 7, 2014, where there is plenty of (free) parking and a nice view of the hills and mountains surrounding the Rogue Valley.  We will take a group photo, sign the logbook, count the total number of attendees, and have a bit of fun before continuing on with our day.  UPDATE 5/22/14: It is confirmed there will be an official WWFM XI geocaching.com souvenir given to anyone who logs an "Attended".
