The Shaver’s Creek LTERP (or Long-term Ecological Reflections Project) seeks to record natural and cultural history happenings at eight locations in and around Shaver's Creek Environmental Center over the course of a full century. We’re placing one cache at each spot to lead more people to them and build our 100 year record!
Site #6 of the LTERP and the location of this Shaver's CreekCache is at the Lakeside "Sunset Point" Pavilion at Shaver's Creek Environmental Center. This structure, made from locally-sourced Black Locust, provides a scenic overlook for the Once-and-Future Lake Perez.
The cache is a waterproof plastic container which is large enough to contain a logbook, a pack of colored pencils (please keep in cache), and room for other items. Please take your time and leave an inspired entry in the book! Feel free to make a sketch of the view, pen a poem, or write as much as you like.
