I combined two of my passions with my newfound hobby of caching. Took my kayak out for the first time this spring, then hiked to cache location.This cache is accessable easiest from water, then an uphill hike. If you dock at included co-ordinates it is a gradual climb, just follow the ridge. Beautiful view from up here. As always, watch for snakes.
Docking co-ordinates N36 26.190 W088 02.753. This will vary slightly depending on water level.
Cache is a plastic camo container. It is hidden in fairly plain sight due the work involved to reach cache ( smiley faces only after this hike). Please be sure to return cache securely so it does not roll away. Happy Caching!
Cache was missing but has been replaced and secured on 10/26/17. It is accessible by foot during fall and winter when water level is low. If you park at gate it is a 3/4 mile hike to cache ( 1.5 miles round trip) along the waters edge. Absolutely beautiful this time of year. The new cache is loaded with fresh swag and is a green field box. Co-ordinances off by about 30 ft but is in plain view so should be easy to spot. A lot of work went into this original location and I want the experience to be worth the work to obtain for my fellow cachers. Enjoy the view and the swag...and the hike.
