Geocache Description:

The National Trust at Croome Park is organising a Discover Geocaching day on Saturday May 10th 10am - 3pm.

There will be a small event tent provided by the National Trust for the day's use and manned by The Croome Cachers - a place to drop and swop TBs, meet up, put names to faces, have a chat etc. Maybe take a newby under your wing?

There is parking and a wartime tea room for refreshments. Bring the geo kiddies; Croome is kid friendly with a super playground and trails around the garden. It is geo pooch friendly with space for off lead walkies ( livestock permitting). Discover Capability Brown's landscaped gardens; it was his first ever project before he went on to grander things. (charges apply to enter Croome Park and therefore the Event. National Trust members go free.)
Publishing on the day is The Belt - a series of 8 caches in the grounds of Croome Court placed with permission and at the request of the National Trust for their Discover Geocacaching Day. Much of this walk goes through The Belt (hence the name of the series) and the bluebells should still be out!
If you intend to visit the caches in The Belt we recommend stout shoes or boots, it is muddy in places and depending on your route there is a very shallow ditch to cross.

The caches have been placed by Croome Cachers , a group of locals made up of javon, Geolab & Co and L8HNB. There is also the Croome Ponders series and a Church Micro for those who have not already done these! Yes – that is a potential of 20 caches within the grounds of Croome Park!!! All on public footpaths. We hope you enjoy the walk around this lovely park and the caches we have set for you. The NT has requested that you follow the public footpaths and respect this lovely countryside and the animals that share it.
