Wade Wilson is not a mutant himself, but acquired his healing factor from Wolverine's DNA during the Weapon X process. Hired as a mercenary by the X-Men to take down Cable. Given his own costume, but also made one to resemble Marvel Girl's. Although he regarded himself as a member of X-Men, he betrayed the team for Cable. He later visited the X-Men on Utopia and became a probationary member under Domino's supervision, although this status did not last long.
