Well, I was TRYING for Cinco de Mayo, but unfortunately I didn't have two weeks notice so I had to push it out to Saturday, May 10th... hence, DIEZ de Mayo! Hi everyone! Lady Nomad here. My mum (CachInMyChips) and I recently moved back to Ocala from the Las Vegas area. We met some of you at the "Maker" event last month, and a few of us were discussing the need for more events and meet & greets; at least once a month. So, here's the first of many, I hope!
This is a potluck picnic, so please bring your favorite dish to share. I will provide plates, silverware, water and sodas, but if you prefer anything else, please bring it with you. Also bring your favorite camping or lawn chair or even a blanket, if you prefer (there are no picnic tables at the event location). I will provide one table, but if we have a lot of folks attending, I may need to recruit a second table, if someone has one. My big, yellow trackable should be parked somewhere nearby (Nissan Xterra).
This event is for everyone, so bring the kids, bring the geo-dogs (please!) and maybe bring a few new recruits for us to corrupt...I mean, INTRODUCE to Geocaching! If you are a neo-cacher (new at this), don't feel intimidated...we're quirky, but loveable! Come and take a whack at the GEO-Piñata! There's more than just candy in there!
Bring your trackables to trade or just to show for discovery, and share your favorite geocaching adventures. I will be releasing a few new trackables as well. If you haven't already done so, you can pick up a few caches nearby or get a little assistance, if needed.
If we arrive and find our location has been occupied, the coordinates for a secondary location close by are as follows: N 29° 11.577 W 082° 07.821. If, by chance, it decides to RAIN on my parade, the party must go on! There is a covered area at a third location: N 29° 11.637 W 082° 07.882, just in case.

Hey everyone! Looks like we're going to have a great turn out on Saturday! We will definitely need at least one other table, so if someone has one, I'd appreciate the loaner for the event. Also, there will be a TB Hotel so bring those geocoins and trackables. We are really looking forward to meeting all of you! It should be a great afternoon!
