The Mississippi River Walk is one of my favorite walks in Dubuque. The combination of rich Dubuque history, awesome Mississippi beauty and interesting wild life is hard to beat, any time of the year.
This cache is part of a series of three caches, including Mississippi River Walk-North, Mississippi River Walk- South and the Mississippi River Walk-Bonus Cache.
To find the Bonus cache you first have to complete the North and South cache.
The coordinates take you to the parking area in front of River’s Edge Plaza. Walk through the floodwall gates and your journey starts.
The Mississippi River Walk North starts at the open pavilion of River’s Edge plaza (N42 29.707 W 90 39.447), follows the path on top of the floodwall past the old Dubuque Star Brewery and ends at the Shot Tower.
To find the cache you have to answer four questions and insert the answers in the following coordinates:
N 42 30.0(A)(B)
W 90 39.(C)(D)3
The answers to the questions can be found on the 8 informative signs between the open pavilion of River’s Edge Plaza and the Shot Tower. Here are the questions:

When you find the cache make sure you write down the North coordinates for the Bonus cache, listed on the front page of the log. The West coordinates of the Bonus cache can be found in the log of the Mississippi River Walk South cache. Stealth may be required as there can be many muggles in this area. Carrying a fishing pole or walking hand in hand with your "sweetie" is perfect disguise ;)
I hope you upload many pictures to show the beauty of the Mississippi during the different seasons.
