The Mississippi River walk is one of my favorite walks in Dubuque. The combination of rich Dubuque history, awesome Mississippi beauty and interesting wild life is hard to beat, any time of the year.
This cache is part of a series of three caches, including Mississippi River Walk-North, Mississippi River Walk- South and the Mississippi River Walk-Bonus Cache.
To find the Bonus cache you first have to complete the North and South caches. The coordinates take you to a parking area in front of the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium (Highly recommended!)
The North coordinates for the Bonus cache can be found on the first page of the logbook for the Mississippi River Walk North cache.
The West coordinates for the Bonus cache can be found on the first page of the logbook for the Mississippi River Walk South cache.
The cache is hidden in one of the many scenic spots on the River Walk. The cache is a micro cache with a log in a plastic bag. You will need to bring your own pen!! Stealth may be required due to many muggles enjoying this area. Please don’t show the cache or its location in your pictures.
If you made it this far you had a good workout and you enjoyed the beauty of the Mississippi River. As Mark Twain used to say:
“The Mississippi River will always have its own way; no engineering skill can persuade it to do otherwise...”
- Mark Twain in Eruption
