Geocache Description:

The Williamson Valley Road Series is a Friends of Morgan Ranch Nature Park history project. WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU WORK 1 SIDE OF THE ROAD AT A TIME. Please pick up trash so the neighborhood trash-pickers are not drawn to the location. Be Prepared- No Services, No Cell.

WALNUT CREEK BRIDGE  In 1936, a span of a 1913 bridge owned by the US Office of Indian Affairs and located on the San Carlos Indian Reservation was moved to Walnut Creek. Yavapai County and the US Forest Service shared the maintenance until the US Forest Service transferred the bridge to the county in 1990. The Walnut Creek Bridge was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989. After crossing the Walnut Creek Bridge, travelers heading west on Road 125 will see the south-facing limestone cliff bands of Juniper Mesa. The mesa is on the southern side of the Juniper Mountains and the 7,554-acre Juniper Mesa Wilderness area, which is in the Prescott National Forest. Travelers who continue north for 20 miles will reach Interstate 40 and Seligman.  Arcadia Publication's, Williamson Valley Road
