Where: Shelter #2 at Harrison Bay State Park, 8411 Harrison Bay Road, Harrison, TN 37341
Cost: No cost, and there is NO entrance fee for the park
Whether you are an avid geocacher or a beginner, we have activities, games and door prizes planned to appeal to those of all ages and experience levels.
What is Geocache Day?
Schedule of Events:
10:30 am – 11:30 am Geocaching 101 - For beginners who would like to learn how.
12:00 noon Picnic Lunch - Please plan to bring a picnic lunch and drinks to enjoy at the pavilion. Cake will be provided for dessert!
12:30 pm - 1:45 pm Games
12:30 pm - 1:45 pm Geocache Hunt begins! (There will be temporary caches will remain in place for the weekend, and some new permanent caches as well)
Door prizes will be given away at 1:45 at the end of the geocache hunt! Feel free to spend the rest of the afternoon enjoying the amenities and beauty that Harrison Bay has to offer.
Additional Event Information:
- We welcome all ages and experience levels to attend event – please spread the word and invite family and friends!
- The event is free, but please call the park office at 423-344-6214 to sign up or if you have a geocaching account, register for the event at geocaching.com.
- If you have a handheld GPS device, please plan to bring it with you to the event to use for the cache hunt. If you do not have a GPS device, you may use your smartphone and download a geocaching app. There are free and premium apps for Android, iPhone and Windows Phone 7.
