The Jackson County Historic Courthouse was built at a total cost of $11,123, the first court session in the Italianate building took place in 1880. In 1908 the neoclassical tower and two additions were added and the building served as the county’s courthouse until 2004. Restoration of the historic structure’s exterior is complete. The grand re-opening of the restored first floor is set for August 10, 2014.
