Like to hike? Like to swim (or wade)? This is the cache for you. There's about six miles of rocks & dirt to get to Sterling Lake from I80. That's the ugly part. Then you get to hike about three miles. That's the good part. There are some trails along the way, but your map and GPS will be your best bet to getting here. Many glacial lakes along the way. Once you get to the Isle of Renate, you'll need a waterproof bag for your GPS, and maybe a hiking pole. The water's not deep, but the bottom is soft. Water shoes will help a lot.
