Geocache Description:

The majority of the caches in the Sun Prairie Area are micros because of the urban area.  Unfortunately, the travel bugs have very few places to stay when passing through the area.  Hopefully, this TB Hotel will give these travel bugs a place to stay.  This cache is not a simple park and grab, but should not take a lot of effort.  You will need to do some off trail work to get to the cache.

Please make sure the cache door is flush closed. Thanks!

Congrats to j&k&kids on FTF!

Welcome to Sun Prairie Travel Bugs!

Sun Prairie is a city of just over 30,000 people located just to the northeast of Madison the state's capital.  Sun Prairie is the second largest city in Dane County behind Madison, but one of the fastest growing cities in the state.  Sun Prairie is named for an area identified by a group of men sent from Milwaukee in the Spring of 1837 by President Martin Vanburen to build a state capital in Madison.  Prior to ariving in the area the men had traveled through days of rain. They emerged at the edge of the prairie and with the sun shining for the first time in days, carved the words "Sun Prairie" into a tree.
