Jäger der Nacht am Tempel des Lichts
Natürlich kann man diesen Cache auch am Tage besuchen, aber dann sieht man zwar den Tempel, doch man sieht nicht das Licht und die Jäger der Nacht natürlich auch nicht. Das wäre doch schade.
Denn hier kann man sie nicht nur in der Dämmerung sondern ausnahmsweise auch mitten in der Nacht beim Jagen beobachten, unsere kleinen Freunde, die uns in den langen Wintermonaten den Zutritt zu so manch interessantem Cache verwehrt haben.
Der Lichttempel wurde von dem Künstler Edward Allington (*1951) [Link wegen gc.com-Richtlinien entfernt] entworfen.
Die Firma [Link entfernt], die das Kraftwerk Römerbrücke [Link entfernt] betreibt (hier heißt das Kunstwerk Fallender Tempel), beschreibt Allingtons Schaffen so:
Als der Künstler Edward Allington begann, über die Eigenarten des öffentlichen Raumes nachzudenken, wurde ihm bewusst: Was früher die Kirchen waren, sind heute Kraftwerke. Sie fungieren als Symbole unserer Zeit. Einerseits sind sie profan, andererseits auch wie ein Tempel. Deshalb hat der Künstler auf dem Dach der Kühlbauwerke einen 6 x 13 Meter großen, fallenden Tempel platziert. Die Bauskulptur „Fallender Tempel“, von der ein Lichtstrahl direkt in die Saar leuchtet, bildet eine Beziehung zwischen Industriebau und Industriefluss. Diese Position dient der Darstellung einer Kühlerfigur.
Von diesem Lichtstrahl werden die Nachtfalter eingefangen und diese bieten den Jägern der Nacht eine reiche Beute. Allerdings nur bis etwa ein Uhr, dann wird das Licht ausgeschaltet.
Ihr solltet folgende Hinweise beachten:
(1) Es ist besser, wenn man nicht alleine nachts im Park unterwegs ist.
(2) Der Ort ist für Rollstuhlfahrer sehr gut erreichbar. Leider liegt der Cache in einer Höhe, die für Rollstuhlfahrer nur schwer zu erreichen ist.
(3) Ihr braucht eine Wasserpumpenzange, besser einen 22er-Maulschlüssel. Manchmal geht der Cachebehälter etwas schwer auf, dann kann man auch noch einen Hammer brauchen.
(4) Für die, die den Cache nicht finden können, gibt es hier (N 49° 13.389 E 007° 00.785) einen Hinweis ...
(5) ... und für die, die immer noch auf dem Schlauch stehen, hier (N 49° 13.281 E 007° 00.966) ein Spoilerbild.
(6) (NEU! Jetzt MIT Schraubenschlüssel. Den Schraubenschlüssel findet ihr genau bei Kilometer 90,1. Es ist eine Schlaufe dran. Wehe dem, der ihn trotzdem ins Wasser fallen lässt.) Leider schon wieder verschütt gegangen.
Das Heizkraftwerk Römerbrücke ist für seine aufwändige Kunst am Bau bekannt und auch bei Geocachern beliebt. Die anderen Kunstwerke sind:

Hunters of the night at the temple of light
Certainly you can visit this cache at daylight, but though you would see the temple you won't see the light nor the hunters of the night. Thic would be a shame.
For here you can watch them hunting not as usually at dawn but exceptionally at dark night, these our little friends, that prevent us from visiting many an interesting cache during winter time.
The Temple Of Light was conceptualize by the artist Edward Allington (*1951) [link deleted due to gc.com regulations].
The company [link deleted] running the combined heat and power plant [link deleted] (they call the artwork Falling Temple) describe Allington's creation like this:
When the artist Edward Allington began to think about the über die originalities of public area he became aware: Whart were churches in former days are now power plants. They act as symbols for our period. On the one hand they are mundane, on the other hand they are like temples. Therefore the artist has placed on the roof of the cooling building a 6 x 13 meter sized falling temple. großen, fallenden Tempel platziert. Die building sculpture „Falling Temple“, from where a ray of light shines direct into the Saar, astablishes a relationship between industial buildin to industrial river. This position acts as a display of a hood ornament.
This ray of light catches the moths and these serve as a feast for the Hunters of the Night. However only up to one o'clock, then the light is switched off.
You should consider the following:
(1) You should better not wander alone in the park at night.
(2) This place is highly accessible for wheelchair users. Unfourtunally the cache is placed in a height that is difficult to reach for wheelchair users
(3) You will need a multi slip-joint gripping pliers, better a wrench (22mm). Sometimes it's difficult to open the cache box, then you might also need a hammer. (I am unsure about the translations, see pictures!)
(4) For those who can't find the cache there is a hint placed at (N 49° 13.389 E 007° 00.785) ...
(5) ... and for those who are completely off the track there is a spoiler picture here (N 49° 13.281 E 007° 00.966). (6) (NEW! Now INCLUDING the wrench. You will find it exacltly at kilometer 90.1. Woe to the one who let it slip into the water.) Already lost.
The combined heat and power plant Römerbrücke is well-known for its elaborated "Kunst am Bau" (I don't know if there is something comparable in other countries) and is favored by geocachers. The other artworks are:
