All Saints also known as The Ramblers Church stands in solitary dignity at Walesby escarpment overlooking the village of Walesby. A special stained glass window is dedicated to ramblers. Although St Mary's is the parish church now All Saints is still used and cared for by The Friends of the Old Church, formed in 1980.
The ever popular and always well attended annual Candlelight carol service is held on the second Saturday in December. Before dawn on Easter Sunday hardy souls walk up the ancient track to attend the traditional Dawn service and then afterwards everyone is invited to enjoy a welcome breakfast at the Rectory in the village. The Ramblers also have a special service on Trinity Sunday.
Down Your Wold is a community heritage project supported by Heritage Lincolnshire and Lincolnshire Wolds Countryside Service.
Explore the heritage of the Lincolnshire Wolds by finding our geocaches. Each geocache has a gift for you to take away inside. The gift will help you understand more about the landscape the geocache is hidden in and also had a fun activity for children to do too!
The Lincolnshire Wolds have been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) meaning that they are nationally important and form part of Britain’s finest countryside.
Rich in past human activity the Lincolnshire Wolds has an abundance of cultural and archaeological heritage, two factors leading to AONB designation. We hope that our geocaches help you to discover more about the hidden heritage all around us and encourage you to love the Lincolnshire Wolds as much as we do!
