This cache has been archived.

COC_BeccaDay: We didn't know we were going to move when we created the series and we can't maintain from so far away so this is going to have to go. Jacob really loved all the thoughtful logs on his caches, thank you.

Geocache Description:

Clue: Geocaching Style!

Ranger Bo(d)y has been hiding some very difficult caches lately, some may even call them evil, dastardly and torturous. His 5-star difficulty caches like Alvin or Walter (GC3ZMA7) and Bates Motel (GC53318) have really aggravated local geocachers. And while he may be a nice guy, the torment of these difficult caches drove one geocacher to murder him. That's right, Ranger Bo(d)y has been murdered! The police have been trying to keep the details of the murder quiet but we have found some evidence of this heinous crime. Geocachers, can you help us crack the case as to who killed Ranger Bo(d)y? And how did he or she do it? And where did the murder take place?

In order to make an accusation (and find the final Clue cache GC58B23), you will need to either be very lucky at guessing, or you will need to find the first 5 clue caches in the series. In each cache you will find cards to help you narrow down your search. Attached to the cache page for the Accusation is a page to help you with your deductions that you can print, if you will find that helpful. Make sure that you make note of the 3 cards inside of each cache in the series so that you can learn where the final container is hidden.

If you have solved the case, please do not share this information with anyone but the police, do not mention it to other geocachers or in your log, so that the suspect may be safely and quickly apprehended.

About Clue, the classic board game

This game was created by Anthony E. Pratt and was first published in 1944, in the US it is published by Hasbro. The classic detective game! In Clue, players move from room to room in a mansion to solve the mystery of: who done it, with what, and where? Players are dealt character, weapon, and location cards after the top card from each card type is secretly placed in the confidential file in the middle of the board. Players must move to a room and then make an accusation against a character saying they did it in that room with a specific weapon. The player to the left must show one of any cards accused to the accuser if in that player's hand. Through deductive reasoning each player must figure out which character, weapon, and location are in the secret file. To do this, each player must uncover what cards are in other players hands by making more and more accusations. Once a player knows what cards the other players are holding they will know what cards are in the secret file. A great game for those who enjoy reasoning and thinking things out.

This geocache series is the project of my son, CachinJake, to promote geocaching for his 4-H project for the Waukesha County Fair. Other than typing up the cache pages, he did most of the work for this series.

These geocaches have been hidden along the Glacial Drumlin State Trail. This trail is paved in this area and is stroller and wheelchair friendly, except that the caches themselves are all hidden off the trail to make them more muggle-proof. In the summer, poison ivy often grows so long pants may be a good idea. Dogs are welcome on the trail as long as they're leashed. Bikers must pay a fee to use the trail but anyone who would be walking the trail may do so for free.
