We recommend parking at S42 51.242 E147 23.745 and take the track east to S42 51.255 E147 24.102. At this point you should head uphill – cross the bike track then turn left to follow a rough walking track. When you get to the top (S42 50.988 E147 24.217) turn right and continue for 180m towards GZ then leave the track to the south for about 20m where you will find GZ.
Allow 1.5 to 2 hours for a leisurely 4km stroll with a 200m climb.
At time of placement cache contained a FTF prize and a few small swaps.
When the cache was published there were no bike tracks here. You will be sharing a wide fire trail with bikes from the parking Area to Trailhead 1. From there it is a pedestrian only trail to the top of the hill except for a 10 metre section towards the top. The path from Trailhead 2 to GZ is shared with bikes although we rarely see them up here.
