Official 3IEE Satellite Event

Date: Sunday October 12, 2014
Time: 10 am to 11 am
Parking: All along the barrier spit
Dress: Dress for the weather and bring your camera

Double Bonus: It's International EarthCache Day!

Please join us for a Meet & Greet on the Coburg Peninsula with EarthCache founder Gary (geoaware), Matt (geoawareHQ), Canadian EarthCache reviewer Sandra (geoawareCA) and Iain (geoawareUK2)
. This event is timed to take advantage of a low tide at the lagoon and beach. The location is unique and the guest experts will share some insight into how it was formed. If you’d like to know more about the area check out the interpretive signs at each end of the peninsula to learn a bit about the unique dune ecosystem and the plants and animals that live and grow here.

Gary (geoaware) established the EarthCache program 10 years ago and placed the first EarthCache on the tenth of January in 2004. Since then Gary and Matt, with volunteers around the globe, have reviewed and published over 20,000 EarthCaches - and enjoy visiting them more than anyone else on this planet!

Directly after the Meet & Greet, Gary, Matt, Sandra, and Iain, will be walking to, and talking about two nearby EarthCaches. Please stick around if you’d like to take part in this optional activity.
