Hey! I'm turning 45 and just like last time I'd like you all to come help me celebrate! I hope that you've been enjoying yourself hunting for all different types of geocaches today. Now that you've spent hours hunting for Tupperware why don't you come by and celebrate...that's right! PARTY!!!
Since this IS my birthday I'll be doing all I can to place some more caches for folks to find. As with last time I'll be trying to place the requisite number of geocaches (45) but who knows? There may be more then that placed! Keep an eye out on this page for a current "Number Of Caches Placed" tally! Caches will hopefully be published sometime before breakfast so that folks can spend the day caching between events and grabbing some numbers! Yay! There is going to be a concerted effort to allow folks to grab ALL six of the 'Souvenirs' available for the month in ONE day! That's right! Crunch those numbers!!!
How do you earn the '7 Souvenirs Of August' again?
- The Nature Lover = Log a Found It on an EarthCache or an Attended for a CITO event.
- The Explorer = Log a Found It on a Traditional geocache.
- The Sightseer = Log a Found It on a Multi-Cache.
- The Puzzler = Log a Fount It on a Mystery Cache.
- The Socializer = Log an Attended for an Event Cache, Mega-Event, or Giga-Event.
- The Collector = Log a Found It on a Virtual Cache, Whereigo, Letterbox Hybrid, or Webcam Cache.
- The Achiever = Visit your Trophy Case after earning the 6 other souvenirs. To learn more about geocache types, go here.
Anyways, with all of the fine print out of the way let's get back to THIS event. This event will be hosted by geocaching friend tazscouter. This will be a potluck event.

Why YOU, of course...whether you have one cache find or a thousand cache finds, please feel free to come join us for a small meet and greet.

Why:
To celebrate, talk geocaching, and trade bugs. Those who wish to may also do some geocaching before or after the event.
Extra things to keep in mind:
- If you pick up a Travel Bug or trackable coin at one of the events, make sure you log it out so it doesn't show up in the events list. If a trackable sits as being listed in the event for a couple of months, the cache owner is the one that gets the e-mail from the TB owner(s).
- There will be plenty of room indoors and out. If you'd like to sit and rest please do bring lawn chairs if you'd like to sit and rest.
