5 Ton Limit Revisited Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Sidetrax2: We stopped to check on this cache today, and as suspected it was still there and in proper position. However, as we looked at the site, we decided it was time to let this one go. The beacon has grown exponentially over the years. That and the beating it took in the derecho makes searching here difficult I am sure. I imagine at some point they will trim it back, and there goes the cache. Decided just to let it go.

Geocache Description:

We have adopted the archived cache ”5 Ton Limit” originally placed by Summitt  Dweller.  This will give geocahers a new opportunity to earn a smiley, since changes in landscaping necessitated the cache location also be changed.  The premise for the cache remains the same, as it is still a two part cache.

From the original coordinates, which takes you to a sign with the same name as the cache, you will need to proceed  201’ on a compass bearing of 186 degrees.  This new location has a far greater danger for muggle observers, particularly from on the golf course, than the original cache did, so please proceed with caution.

You are looking for a small container similar in size to a film canister. You will need to BYOP.
