Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
This cache is located off Rt. 22 between Mill Creek and Mt. Union.
As of 4/09/2009 we placed the cache back in it's original spot.
Someone had moved it in Sept. There is a large pull-off on the same
side of the road as Thousand Steps. The path is located at the end
of the pull-off. There is a sign that says "Thousand
Steps".
This is the equivalent of a one-hour "Stairmaster", if you take a
few short breaks along the way. You will possibly want a walking
stick for this trek. Also, water and a high-energy snack would be
good.
The cache is in a black container with a screw-top lid. There
are many goodies inside. Please don't forget your camera on this
hike because there are many great views. We hope you enjoy this
one! It is a steep trail that tires you out, but it's worth it.
Please don't be discouraged with the steps, take lots of little
breaks along the way and you will make it. GOOD LUCK!!
Caution: Since this is a rocky area you may encounter a snake
once in a while. We have been there many times and have seen 1
rattlesnake. Be careful!
