Nature's Totem Pole Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

trscorbin: I didn't come up with a way to protect the cache from the frequent mowing of the road crews. So I am archiving this one.

Geocache Description:

This "pole" was created by nature.  Use your imagination, you may see your own totem animal.  Bring tweezers.  There is no designated parking, but road is used by only a few people.  Just pull as far off as possible and watch for local traffic.

The Eastern Woodland Tribes did not carve totem poles.  They did set up poles with skulls, hides and other gifts to honor the animal spirit and sometimes to mark burial grounds.  Native American Tradition gives that people may identify with different animal guides throughout their lifetimes.
