Geocache Description:

The When: Saturday, August 30th @ 12:00 noon - 12:40
The Where: Lions Park, Ontario
The Why: Have some food, Dog Tag TB Raffle, share stories and have fun

Come one, come all! Pack a lunch and c'mon down to enjoy the park with us for a spell. Bring your little geocachers along for the ride, there is plenty of playground for them to expend their energy on :) As always, there will probably be Trackables to trade and discover.

This picnic wont have any official format besides the raffle and the GPS Game. Just pull up a seat at one of the tables and enjoy the atmosphere. Bring your own food and drink or pick up something on the way. If you want to share a dish then I implore you to bring it! (I love food haha)

This is a great opportunity to get your Socializer Souvenir from Geocachings '7 Souvenirs of August' if you haven't picked it up yet!

The Raffle
To qualify for the raffle you must sign the Logbook before 12:35 and must be within shouting distance of the Picnic tables :)

Closest to the Pin
After the Raffle winner is announced feel free to stick around for two rounds of Closest to the Pin. It is a GPS game which will test your GPS accuracy mettle! It is a combination of luck and GPS accuracy.

To participate each person will need a GPS device which you can enter a set of coordinates or waypoints into. (I will also enable the waypoints on Geocaching for iPhone/Andriod users) Participants will be given two Popsicle sticks to write their name on. I will announce both sets of coordinates for users to enter into their GPS. You simply put the popsickle stick where you think the pinpoint of ground zero is.
The Judges (me and The Lady) will announce who was closest to the pin-point of ground zero at both waypoints.
This game is based off of GPS accuracy a good bit of luck!
The winners will receive a GeoSwag Bag with plenty of goodies in it!
This is my third time hosting this GPSr Game so I think it will be a little bit more smooth.

Please note that I will not be reserving Lion's Park for this event so the location may change to the other covered picnic tables or to the stand-alone tables in the area. I will post an announcement with the location details that day.
I have checked with the Chamber of Commerce of Ontario and confirmed that there are no events scheduled in Lion's Park that day currently :)
