We would like to host a fast, fun, friendly event in the Victoria area before we hit the road for a great day of education and activities related to Earthcaches at the Cowichan Exhibition Grounds, near Duncan at the 3IEE Mega.
A local coffee house has offered to host our simple event where we can meet up and exchange geocoins or TBs before we have to leave for a liesurely drive north to the Mega, gathering caches along the way. For anyone trying to finish - the "Gordie Howe" #9 Challenge - GC53VZ6 where you need to 'find' nine different cache types in one single day, this would be your event icon. If you add in the Mega icon, you only need seven more different types of caches in order to get your smiley!
We will be at the posted coordinates, otherwise known as Serious Coffee, in View Royal for half an hour starting at 8 am. At 8:30 am the logbook will close and we'll be on our way for the hour long drive to spend the day learning, spending money and meeting other cachers from all across the province and beyond.
Come join us for an early morning event! There is plenty of parking in the area and on Wilfert Rd.
