Today marked the grand opening of the new trail up Mailbox Peak. We decided to celebrate by being the first geocachers to place a cache on the new trail. This new trail is much longer but has a much more gradual grade than the old trail. For now, hikers can choose to hike either trail.
A Discover Pass is required to park in the parking lot.
This should not be a difficult find. The cache is about half way up the new trail before it re-joins the old trail. Enjoy the hike!
Also, remember that if you park in the parking lot, the gate gets locked at dusk. You could get trapped inside if you return to your car late.
