With Christmas coming closer, this event provides an excuse to think about something other than shopping and turkeys. There will be new caches, people to chat to, food and drink and even an outdoor play area for the children.
We will be based in Chilton village hall, conveniently close to the A34, with parking for about 50 cars. Proceedings will begin late morning and go on until about half past three (we have to be clear in time for an evening function). There will be several new caches nearby published on the day of the event, including up to five different icons. The rough plan at present is:
11:30 doors open
12:00 bring-and-share lunch
14:30 raffle
15:30 close
The hall has tea and coffee making facilities and we might even have hot soup too, if the weather warrants it. The idea for lunch is that everyone brings something for the table and we share between us all. It would help if you could mention what you plan to bring in your 'Will attend' log.
There is a fee for hiring the hall so we are holding a raffle to help towards the costs. If anyone would like to bring a prize for the raffle then that would be very much appreciated.
