I was on the mountain today and had a container with me so I figured "Why not?" It was a beautiful day for a hike with my geo-dog, Olive. The sun was out, the air was cool and the leaves were falling all around me. I couldn't have asked for a better day to be out and about.
This hide sits directly above the Mt. Lookout Trailer Park. Having said that, you can use Trailhead 2 if you so desire but parking is up to you with that trailhead as I am unsure about a good place to leave a car during the hike up and back. Trailhead 1 is the preferred method to start this journey since parking is nearby although, the hike to and from GZ is a longer one.
On warm days you may want to consider bringing some fluids. This is especially true if hiking up from trailhead 1 since it is a longer distance. Trails directly to GZ exist from each trailhead if you know your way around the mountain. Please leave no trash behind and if you are able to, please try and take one piece of litter off the mountain with you.
Bring a pen and tweezers. :-D
***There is a reason Campground Road IS NOT listed as the parking area or trailhead area. I ask that if you are going to look for my hides on this mountain that you use the coordinates I listed or, at the very least, do your best to park and enter the trail system legally.***
